When Zozobini Tunzi was growing up, women were treated differently than men. Tunzi found her role as Miss Universe as a chance to advocate for gender equality and thanks to brave figures like her, the trend is changing. 

 

She is a mover and a shaker and I absolutely fell in love with her after reading about her and watching her answer her final question during the Miss Universe competition. She was asked what we should be teaching young girls today.  Her answer was simple;  Leadership.  She believes that women are the most powerful beings in the world and because of our strength, we need to take up space, cement ourselves and teach young girls to do the same.
